Myotherapy has derived from massage as has physiotherapy; the difference is that physiotherapy is a specialist treatment for acute post operative conditions whereas Canine Myotherapy is more intended for the chronic case that could have been a result of compensatory issues from a pathology (condition), past trauma or repetitive strain.
Myotherapy is a specific and targeted hands-on manual therapy. It uses dedicated and specific massage techniques to create a controlled inflammatory response to effect change and repair to muscle fibre.
I am a Galen trained Canine Myotherapist and insured and indemnified to practice. I am happy to discuss and work with you on any case, and will provide you with a written report on the treatment given.
I will only work on dogs that have had veterinary consent.
