Massage

Massage has developed over thousands of years, with influences from many different countries and cultures for the promotion and restoration of health.

It works directly on tight and aching muscles, soothing away stiffness and easing discomfort, it boosts circulation, helps lower blood pressure, aids digestion, speeds up the elimination of toxins, reduces stress and is a natural and effective way to treat physical and psychological conditions.

Touch is one of the most primal human instincts for conveying reassurance, care and protection. Massage fulfills this basic human need, and has been practiced, for thousands of years. The benefits of massage or “laying on of hands” has been documented throughout history in bringing comfort, relaxation and relief.

What does a massage treatment involve?

The first treatment starts with a consultation, during which we discuss your past medical history, current needs and any advice from your doctor. This confidential information helps plan the best course of treatment for you.

Treatments are carried out whilst you are lying on a massage couch. Throughout your treatment you will be covered with warm, soft towels, exposing only the area being massaged, to ensure you feel safe and comfortable at all times. You will be asked throughout the treatment if the pressure being used is comfortable. During the treatment soothing background music will be played.
