QiGong Experience

We need to regard relaxation as a process of surrendering to a deeper wisdom, rather than acquiring, through effort, a new ability.”

 Kenneth S. Cohen

When I hit the menopause it triggered a clinical breakdown, I suffered with severe anxiety, I just couldn’t function and was unable to work. It lasted for over a year, and I thought it would never pass. I was on medication that didn’t seem to ease the symptoms of fatigue and brain fog and this overriding anxiety that was with me from the moment I woke up.

Qigong has changed my life.

I first experienced Qigong some 20 years ago, which was used at the start of a tai chi class I attended. I didn’t stick with the tai chi as it wasn’t for me, but always loved the Qigong part. I found by accident a local Qi Gong teacher, and this was the start of my own healing and finding that missing link.

For the first time in months, I was able to feel again the energy within my hands which as a therapist had stopped me from working in a vocation that I love. The acute anxiety I had felt for months began to transform into vitality, I felt more balanced, calm, and alive again.

I realised that Qigong didn’t just help me emotionally but has had huge benefits to my physical health and would for that of my clients, suffering from stress, chronic pain, fatigue, injury and arthritis.

I have since gone on to study with Nick Loffree and have undertaken his teacher training programme. I am passionate about sharing this gentle but incredibly powerful ancient system of integrative health care and energy medicine.
